Family Vacation!

Well we had a nice three week vacation and got to see all our family! We started out going to Minnesota to see some of Jake's mission and got to spend a few days with Tamar and Hailey. We saw the Jolly Green Giant, went to the Mall of America, went to the Como Zoo and walked on the University of Minnesota's Campus....

After Minnesota we drove to NC and spent a week at the beach with my family. It took Kahlan a while to get used to the sand and moving water but by the end she loved it!






Jake and I went to Carowinds for our third anniversary and had a blast going on all the rides a few times!
On the way back to Utah we spent some time with Jake's brother's family. Kahlan had fun with her cousins.

We had a great time with all our family. It is nice to be back home and Kahlan loves having her toys again. Can't wait for another vacation...haha!

4th of July Weekend

Well, Friday we went to a neighborhood party. It was fun. They had pinatas there for the kids. The first one was for 6 and under. Kahlan got a turn to try and hit it. I helped her out but she was more interested at looking a the guy in charge (he had longer hair and a bandanna) than trying to hit it so it was more like me hitting it. Then on Sat we had some friends over for dinner and then we went to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks show. It was really cool. It was the first time that we have been able to go watch them. Kahlan did really good. She liked the lights but the sound of the fireworks out her on edge. About halfway through she totally fell asleep on me. I couldn't believe that she fell asleep with the noise and all. The finale woke her up again. We just laughed.




Then on Sunday and Monday she took 4 hour naps to catch up. It was really nice. Jake and I took 3 hour naps on Sunday:) Monday morning Kahlan and I went to the parade with some people in the ward. Jake had worked the overnight shift so he was sleeping. Kahlan really liked it. She waved to some of the people and clapped when others did. It was so fun! So Kahlan's shirt she is wearing is the dress that my sister Ashley made her last year. She a little over 3 months when she wore it. It still fit and looked cute as a shirt as well!

So the first tine we tried the sprinkler with Kahlan she wasn't too sure about it but now she loves to run threw it!

Hiking the Y!!

We have been wanting to hike the Y this whole summer. This last Friday we did it. It was Jake's first time and my second. We had a lot of fun. The cool thing is the BYU football team was hiking the Y as well. They were really nice! Here are some pictures...



Also this last week, Kahlan had her 15 month check up. She is doing great! She weighs 17lb 10oz (.47 percentile), she is 30.25 inches tall (39.6 percentile) and her head was 16.8 inches (.52 percentile). She is such a busy body and loves playing outside!

Father's Day!

Kahlan and I made Jake a Father's Day craft. I think it turned out cute! Kahlan wasn't too into it but we made it through.

Baby Pool!

So we bought Kahlan a baby pool so she can get used to the water and get a tan. We want her to be all ready for the beach! She wasn't too sure how she felt about it at first but by the end she loved it.

Swimming at Aunt Terra's

This was Kahlan's first time going swimming. She did really well. She wasn't sure of the water at first but then she liked it. Mostly she just wanted to walk around.
